Avocado and Banana Smoothie – Recipe

Hi Everyone,

I’ve decided to treat you all today with one of my favourite smoothie recipes to commemorate the return of my blog. I tried something similar to this at a café and thought I could experiment with the ingredients and added my own twist. When I first saw this smoothie on the menu, I was a little taken back and wasn’t sure what to expect, however I couldn’t resist the temptation to not try it. I shared this recipe on my Snapchat and was pretty ecstatic to see I inspired my friends to try it as well.

If you love avocado, there is a high chance that you will enjoy this recipe, and most likely share it with your own circle of friends.

INGREDIENTS

Avocado

Coconut milk

Banana (A handy tip that I like to use, incorporate bananas that are completely ripe as they will add a nice sweet taste)

Chia seeds

Honey (optional- I don’t like my smoothies too sweet so I generally leave it out)

Coco powder (optional)

Ice (This is a must for my smoothies, nothing I hate more than a warm beverage. Thinking about it actually makes me si

METHOD:

Combine everything in a blender and wiz it all together. This smoothie is quite fulling and a perfect alternative for breakfast for those who are on the go. Also, if you aren’t a big fan of really thick smoothies just dilute it with some water or move coconut milk. I have not included measurements so make it according to your liking.

3 Ingredient Semi-Healthy Snack

Hi Everyone!

I hope that you are all having a wonderful week.  This is a quick and easy recipe that I wanted to share on my blog for your benefit as well as mine. My friend shared this recipe with me and I wanted to share it with you because it is truely delicious.  This snack is perfect to nibble on and may be suitable for candy buffets or served as a dessert for guests. Another reason why I love this recipe so much is because you can just use what ever ingredients you have at home. For example  I used milk chocolate but you can replace that with dark chocolate. Likewise, you may replace the peanut butter with almond butter or what ever spread you like. It is a great opportunity to use the bananas you have at home that have started to get spotty.

Quick Tip: If you have any left over, put them in a zip lock bag and place them in the freezer. They will be amazing in smoothies!

INGREDIENTS:

Bananas

Peanut Butter

Melted Chocolate

METHOD:

1. Chop up the bananas.

2. Spread peanut butter between two pieces of banana.

 

3.Dip the peanut butter filled banana into the chocolate.

4. Place the banana onto a tray lined with baking paper and put it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.

 

And Voilà!

Nicoise Salad (Tuna, Eggs & Green Beans) – DAY 5

Hi everyone,
This is the end of the cycle for the daily salad posts. I am going to end this series with a BANG! The final salad is my favorite over the past couple days. My aim for these post were to show that you can make anything with what you have, where you are.

Most of the ingredients that I used were the ones I had at home, I did not specifically go shopping for these salad at all. Like me you will most likely have these ingredients at home. Even if you don’t  you can simply just substitute it with what you do have.

Salads are an effortless way to minimize calories at a meal, and maximize nutrients. As it is currently Summer in Australia, it is easy to turn salads from a side dish into a complete meal by just adding a protein such as chicken, meat or eggs.

If you would like to see a series of anything else please do not hesitate to ask, I am more than welcome to share recipes and pictures.

A bunch of green beans(Boiled)

1 small potato (Boiled)

1 can of tuna (preferably in oil as it adds to the dressing)

2 eggs (You can either boil or pouch. I like my eggs runny but you can cook it to the way that you like.)

Olives (Preferably Kalamata olives)

Salt

Lemon juice

Carrot, Zucchini, Green Beans with a Pistachio Dressing – DAY 4

Hi Everyone!

This one of the easiest salad that ever exist. Once again this is my sisters recipe, she will kill me if I did not mention that. You are probably sick and tired of reading the same thing, so I am going to say it one last time: SALADS ARE THE BEST!

We usually make this salad on the side of Chicken Parmigiana or Steak with potatoes as well. If you are allergic or do not like pistachios you can just leave them out of course.

1 zucchini

A bunch of green beans

INGREDIENTS:

(Dressing)

Crushed Pistachio

Juice of a whole lemon

Olive Oil

Garlic

Parmesan cheese

Warm Spaghetti, Prawn and Basil Salad – DAY 3

Hi Everyone!

This is the continuation of the post I published a few days ago which was Rocket, Pear & Cheese Salad –  DAY 1. Like mentioned I am going to show you an easy salad recipe to create at home every day this week.

This is my sisters recipe and she will kill me if I took credit for it. This salad can we made all year round but I enjoy having it during a warm Summers day.  If you are vegetarian or do not like seafood, you can substitute the prawns for tomatoes.  The sharpness from the Parmesan cheese adds an amazing flavour but you can leave it out if you do not like it.

Prawns

A bunch of Basil

1 Spanish Onion

Parmesan Cheese

INGREDIENTS:

(Dressing)

Chilli Flakes

Juice of a whole lemon

Lentils, Peppers & Bulgarian Fetta Salad – DAY 2

Hi everyone!

This is the continuation of the post I published yesterday which is Rocket, Pear & Cheese Salad –  DAY 1. Like mentioned I am going to show you an easy salad recipe to create at home every day this week.

This salad is so filling! I just love the way it tastes and the versatility. You can add and take things away as you like it.

Brown Lentils (I boiled them until they were soft)

Grilled peppers (I used a combination of both hot and sweet peppers, you can use which ever one you prefer)

1 carrot grated

Small tomato diced

Small Spanish onion diced

A tiny bit of Bulgarian Fetta cheese ( You can use any soft cheese)

A table spoon of Hummus dip

Salt

Rocket, Pear & Cheese Salad – DAY 1

Hi everyone!

Can we just we just talk about how awesome salads are? You can basically make a salad with anything and everything. They are so light, refreshing and suppress hunger at the same time. Salad are so easy to make, only use a few ingredients and suitable for all occasions.

When I went to my friends house last week, she made this amazing salad. So I decided to recreate it for my blog. Likewise, I am going to publish a post everyday about a new and easy salad to create. I will include the list of ingredients for the salad, the dressing and photos of my creation.

INGREDIENTS:

(Salad)

Rocket lettuce (Use as much as you want, I used a whole packet from the supermarket and it served two)

1 Pear (It is better to have a pear which is firm as it would not get mushed when you are mixing the salad)

Tasty Cheese (You can use any cheese you would like, Parmesan cheese will taste amazing)

INGREDIENTS:

(Dressing)

Olive Oil

Pomegranate Molasses (You can probably find this in the Middle Eastern aisle at the supermarket. It has a sour taste so add as much or little as you want)

Salt
